Cori Bush Celebrates Endorsements from Jewish Voice for Peace Action and Progressive Jews of STL

ST. LOUIS, MO — Yesterday, Congresswoman Cori Bush celebrated endorsements from Jewish Voice for Peace Action and Progressive Jews of St. Louis as she campaigns for reelection to continue her work representing Missouri’s 1st District.

Later that evening, Cori gathered with volunteers and supporters, including allies from the IfNotNow Movement, at Left Bank Books in St. Louis. Attendees gathered to relaunch Jews for Cori, a group of progressive Jewish St. Louisans who actively organized and mobilized for Cori during the 2024 election cycle. This year, organizers once again came together to volunteer their time, energy, and resources for the only candidate in the race who reflects their values by speaking out against oppression, apartheid, and genocide.

Cori continues to stand for the same principles she always has — affirming the humanity of all people, whether they be right here in St. Louis, or across the world.. Her campaign is building a movement of people brought together by shared values and moral clarity, one that rejects all forms of hatred and oppression, including anti-semitism Cori believes that this is one St. Louis, and we all deserve dignity and respect.

“I am incredibly proud to receive endorsements from Jewish Voice for Peace Action and Progressive Jews of St. Louis, two organizations made up of true leaders in our movement for peace and justice. I’m grateful for their work to engage people here in Missouri’s 1st district and across the country. In this moment of fear and pain for so many, St. Louis needs a fighter in Washington. I look forward to working alongside JVPA and ProJoSTL as we build our coalition for positive change and justice for all,” said Congresswoman Cori Bush. “I am also grateful to have Jews for Cori by my side once again, standing with me as we advocate for our shared values. The energy we’ve seen so early in this campaign is proof that our movement is alive and growing. People are tired of politics that serve the rich and powerful and leave us behind. Together, we’re building something that can’t be bought: a campaign built by people power.”

These endorsements from Jewish Voice for Peace Action and Progressive Jews of St. Louis follow other early endorsers like Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, STL DSA, and many more. In this political moment, everyday people deserve leaders who are not afraid to fight for them, and to stand up for the humanity of all people. We need leadership that’s built different — leadership that refuses to play by broken rules and holds a track record of delivering. That is who Cori Bush has always been and will continue to be — because St. Louis built her, brick by brick.
