Wesley Bell has spent years siding with Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, from helping a far-right Republican try to win this Congressional seat and donating to Republican extremists, to benefiting from a political network funded by Republicans and some of Trump’s biggest donors and breaking with Democratic leadership to join Republicans in thanking ICE for "protecting the homeland."
Cori Bush stands up to Trump and MAGA Republicans. Wesley Bell sides with them.
All voters may need to be reminded that a few weeks after the tornado in St. Louis killed 5 of his constituents, Wesley Bell went on an AIPAC-funded junket to Israel that the media described as “lavish.” Meanwhile, he failed to deliver on disaster relief. An entire year after the tornado, media reported that St. Louis received $0 for recovery through Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). By contrast, when in office Cori Bush secured $82+ million in disaster relief money for St. Louis through the same program after the 2022 floods through CDBG-DR.
When asked what he had done to pursue those funds — whether he filed a bill, held a press conference, or spoke on the House floor [1:14] — Bell could not point to any of those actions, saying “Elections have consequences.” [:34]
Cori Bush fights for St. Louis. Wesley Bell abandoned us.
If voters must hear only about Cori’s accomplishments, white women under 65 should be reminded that Congresswoman Cori Bush is the only candidate in this race endorsed by Abortion Action Missouri. She co-sponsored numerous pieces of legislation aimed at expanding access to reproductive healthcare, and she was the first Congressperson calling to repeal the Comstock Act, which is used to restrict distribution of reproductive health materials via mail. Cori also took on the insurance and pharmaceutical lobbies, leading the fight to put a cap on the price of insulin, and co-chaired the first-ever Congressional Equal Rights Amendment Caucus.
Cori also helped lead the fight to clean up the government’s radiological contamination near Coldwater Creek.
New lawsuit: Five of Rep. Wesley Bell’s constituents who attended an August 2025 town hall hosted by the Congressman have filed a lawsuit against Bell and members of his private security team, alleging they were assaulted after residents posed questions to the congressman, including about his AIPAC-funded lavish trip to Israel less than 90 days after a May 16 tornado that killed five of his constituents.
This is not the first time that Rep. Bell has been sued. During his time as St. Louis County Prosecutor, Wesley Bell’s actions forced St. Louis County taxpayers to fork over more than $670,000 from at least four different lawsuits. True to his Republican roots, Bell hired a consultant who was charged with physically assaulting a Democratic elected official.
Voters aged 18-50 should see online that Wesley Bell voted to thank ICE, receives campaign contributions from major ICE contractors, is backed by Trump’s top donors, and that his campaign is financed by AIPAC.
Black voters over 50 should be reminded on the radio and in their mailboxes that Wesley Bell voted to thank ICE, receives campaign contributions from major ICE contractors, and is backed by Trump’s top donors.
Voters under 45 who have voted in one of the past three elections need to see online and in their mailboxes, at the ready, that Wesley Bell is a former Republican campaign manager who is bankrolled by Donald Trump’s donors, praised Donald Trump’s Neo-Nazi regime, and will side with Donald Trump as long as it means expanding his own political power. By contrast, Cori Bush stood up to MAGA extremists, fought to take on a rigged system that favors Trump's donor class, survived & took a stand against Trump’s insurrection, and delivered results that kept people housed. We need a fighter in DC.
