Congresswoman Cori Bush Outraises Her Opponent By Nearly $75,000 in Her First Quarter
ST. LOUIS, MO — Last night, public filings submitted to the Federal Election Commission show that Congresswoman Cori Bush outraised her opponent in the race to take back Missouri’s 1st District. Her opponent received less than ten thousand dollars in small dollar donations, a stark contrast to the grassroots donor base cultivated by Cori for Us, comprising 83% of her overall donors. The Congresswoman raised more than $525,000 in the final three months of last year. In response to this news, Congresswoman Cori Bush released the following statement:
“Our grassroots movement has outraised my opponent, despite him being awash with corrupt cash provided by a collection of Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Pro-Israel PACs. This is a clear sign of the enthusiasm behind sending a fighter for St. Louis back to Washington who refuses to take any money from corporate or rightwing lobbies.
Last election, tens of millions of dollars were poured into St. Louis by corporate PACs to unseat me. In 2025, my opponent has taken money from BlackRock, who is pricing families out of homeownership; MAGA oligarch-owned Blue Origin; and numerous other large corporations that exploit our communities. This includes taking checks from some of ICE’s largest contractors, Enterprise and AT&T, as well as from war profiteers like Lockheed Martin and Leidos, both complicit in genocide. St. Louis’ future will not be dictated by MAGA or corporate interests. We’re a district that’s always put people first and we’re not for sale. St. Louis is ready for change.”

“St. Louis is excited for Cori Bush to take back her seat”

This news comes as Representative Bush fights to take back her seat in Missouri’s 1st District. Bush is campaigning to bring the values of St. Louis to DC, demanding an economy that works for everyone, a healthcare system that puts people over profit, and a vision for the future that rebukes President Trump’s moral bankruptcy. In this political moment, everyday people deserve leaders who are not afraid to fight for them
