ST. LOUIS, MO — One month ago, Congresswoman Cori Bush announced that she was reclaiming her seat to represent the people of Missouri’s First District. In just 30 days, Congresswoman Bush’s campaign for Congress has galvanized an overwhelming surge of community support, locking in key endorsements and generating measurable impact and resonance.

  • Thousands of individual contributors
  • Hundreds of volunteers recruited
  • Nearly 7 million organic impressions across channels
  • Over 225K social engagements
  • Over 22K new followers

Cori continues to stand on the principles that led her to upset a 52-year political dynasty while fighting and winning on issues like affordability and housing security. The same principles that stand in contrast to incumbent Wesley Bell’s Trump-like behavior, whether inflicting state violence on those he represents, or paying over half a million of St. Louis County taxpayer resources to settle a sexual discrimination case earlier this year. When you follow the money, it is clear that the big money backing him cares little about the district Bell represents and only that he answers to their interests.

“This campaign has always been about the people of St. Louis — our families, our workers, our communities who make this district what it is,” said Congresswoman Cori Bush. “The energy we’ve seen in just one month is proof that our movement is alive and growing. Folks are tired of politics that serve the powerful and leave our families behind. We’re organizing, we’re caring for one another, and we’re building something that can’t be bought — because this campaign is built by people power.”

“I’m feeling the love, y’all!” -Cori Bush

Across the country, that same demand for courage and conviction is reshaping our politics. Voters are choosing leaders who reject corporate influence and stand firmly with the people — the very principles that have defined Cori’s work from day one. At the same time, Democrats are distancing themselves from AIPAC and confronting deeper questions about their identity and values. Bell accepted tens of millions in funding from AIPAC, mostly to fund a misleading and derogatory paid media campaign.

In this moment, Cori offers a vision – a growing grassroots donor base of thousands who are enthusiastic about candidates who answer to the people, not to special interest groups, Republican and Trump mega-donors, as highlighted from First Alert 4, “There is also truth in the Assertion that Trump’s donors are helping to bankroll ads supporting Bell”.

CORI BUSH IS RUNNING AGAIN AND STANDING ON PRINCIPLE

Early grassroots and organizational support from endorsers like Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, STL DSA, and many more signal that our message is resonating. Zohran Mamdani looks overwhelmingly poised for victory on a platform with core values long championed by Cori Bush. Congresswoman Bush launched her campaign because she believes that St. Louis deserves a leader who fights for its families — ten toes down.

One month later, as the government shutdown drags on and SNAP benefits are stripped from families across the district, the stakes couldn’t be higher, as 10% of Missouri families are on the verge of losing food aid. Our neighbors continue to pay the price for political dysfunction, and the courage to lead has gone missing. This moment demands leadership that’s built different — leadership that shows up when it’s hardest, that refuses to play by broken rules, isn’t afraid to fight for the people too often dismissed, and holds a track record of delivering. That’s who Cori Bush has always been and will continue to be — because St. Louis built her, brick by brick.
